France approves Betsson for online poker: what the October decisions cover
Two French regulatory decisions dated 15 October concern Betsson’s online poker authorisation and international player liquidity.
The decisions
France’s ANJ authorised Betsson France to offer online poker through betsson.fr in decision 2026-171. A separate decision, 2026-172, concerns international poker liquidity sharing. Both are dated 15 October 2026.
Why the distinction matters
An operating authorisation and permission to share poker liquidity address different questions. Readers checking a poker service should look at the relevant regulator’s record and the specific website named in it, rather than relying on a familiar group brand.
The decisions alone do not establish a public launch date or confirm which tables will be available at launch. They also do not extend French approval to every European market. Local eligibility, permitted products and player protections must be checked separately.
How to follow the launch
Useful follow-up details include the operator’s confirmed opening date, the applicable country restrictions, published poker rules and the customer support arrangements for that specific service. We have not added an unverified registration offer or a predicted player-pool size.
